Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo — 3 April 2024
The Rotary Club of Global Actions for Refugees and Forced Migrants carried out a targeted distribution in Goma to support women from refugee and host communities. Through our Restoring Lives initiative, 70 women received food items and essential hygiene kits designed to ease immediate needs and protect health and dignity.
What we providedEach beneficiary received a package of staple food items and a hygiene kit with everyday essentials for personal care. The distribution prioritized mothers and women with specific needs, helping families stretch household budgets and maintain regular participation in school, markets, and community life.
How the day unfoldedVolunteers organized the flow, verified beneficiary lists, and shared basic information on safe hygiene practices. The event also created space to listen and learn—feedback that will shape future activities and ensure our assistance stays practical and relevant.
